Brain Explorer is a desktop software application developed in support of the Allen Brain Atlas project. Although it can be used with Sleep Study data, some of its features are unsupported.
The following features of Brain Explorer are compatible with the Sleep Study project's data:
- View gene expression data in 3D at 100 μm3 resolution
- View expression data from multiple image series superimposed on each other in 3D
- Navigate the high-resolution 2D ISH images from the Sleep Study project using the 3D model
- Examine Sleep Study difference grids
To download Sleep Study 3D expression files:
- Search or browse for a gene.
- Click a gene in the "Gene List" that is returned.
- Click an ID of one of its image series to view the experiment's details.
- Click the 3D expression file link in the, "Image Series Summary..." section.
To download difference grids:
- Click the "Difference Grids" menu option.
- Follow the directions in the "Difference Grids" section.
